Ingredients

  • 1 cup mashed banana about 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 6 tbsp neutral oil such as vegetable or avocado oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the mashed bananas, eggs, maple syrup, Greek yogurt, oil, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the cake flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Using a spatula, gently fold the mixture until just combined—do not overmix.
  • Add Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool and Serve: Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
